Our Programs
Our programs are open to all members and we strive to offer a variety of activities to meet your interests and needs. Most daily programs are free to members and do not require pre-registration. For more information on any of our programs, please call our office at 717-533-2002.
Programs take place during our operating hours of 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
TAI CHI
Class Day/Time: Tuesdays at 9 a.m. and Thursdays at 1 p.m.
Instructor: Deb McKee

Description: Tai Chi is a relaxing way to improve your balance, coordination, flexibility, memory, and core muscle strength. The slow movements will challenge and calm your mind and body in a stress-free atmosphere.
PILATES
Class Day/Time: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 a.m.
Instructor: Sally Kurtz
Class Fee: Free with membership
Description: A no-impact, core-centered exercise that provides control, balance, and strength. A Pilates mat or thick yoga mat is recommended. Participants need to be able to get on the floor.
YOGA
Class Day/Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m.

Description: Our yoga program encourages participants to focus on the physical and mental disciplines of Yoga that originated in India. The goal of each class is to maintain a methodical, slow-paced exercise in a relaxing atmosphere. Participants are asked to clear their minds and begin to see the benefits of this unique discipline. Yoga mats are recommended.
SILVER SNEAKERS
Class Day/Time: Mondays and Fridays at 8:15 a.m., Wednesdays at 3:15 p.m.

Class Fee: Free with membership
Description: Focusing on strength, balance, and range of motion, featuring the use of resistance tubes and weights paired with upbeat music Kim Eichinger, a licensed FLEX instructor with 33 years of experience, brings this wonderful class to Leader Active Life. It features the use of some additional exercise equipment, i.e., exercise bands, weights, and/or balls, for a variety of exercises.
CHAIR LABLAST
Class Day/Time: Thursdays at 9 a.m.
Class Fee: Free with membership
Description: An energized dance fitness class blending the skills of ballroom dance while seated in a chair offers lively music and an upbeat instructor.
CHAIR YOGA
Class Day/Time: Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

Description: Chair yoga is a unique style of yoga that adapts traditional yoga positions and poses through the creative use of a chair. In this class, we will practice the fundamentals of yoga, including meditation, mindful breathing, and a series of seated and standing yoga poses, without having to get down on the floor.
STRETCH & STRENGTHEN DVD
Class Day/Time: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.

Class Fee: Free with membership
Description: A low-intensity aerobic workout combines 20 minutes of chair exercise, a weights portion, and 20 minutes of standing exercise. The program is specifically designed for beginners, deconditioned exercisers, or those looking for a low-exertion form of exercise in a fun and relaxed group setting. Hand weights and ankle weights are available to use for this class.
Strengthening WITH Sara
Class Time/Day: Mondays and Fridays at 9:15 a.m.
Instructor: Sara Zentmeyer
Class Fee: Free with membership
Description: This low-impact weight training allows you to tone and strengthen your muscles safely and is geared towards older adults. This instructor-led class consists of two 15-minute increments of weight repetition to achieve an ideal workout time. The weights recommended for this class range from 1 to 5 pounds and are provided for you at the center. A yoga mat is recommended for the days that there are floor exercises (usually Mondays).
LINE DANCING
Class Day/Time: Mondays & Wednesdays @ 10:30; Fridays @ 10:15

TAP DANCING
Class Day/Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Description: Whether you are a beginner or someone with more experience, there is a tap class for you. This popular activity is designed to get you dancing at your level of fitness. Our tappers have been learning together and entertaining the community for many years. They are always looking to share their unique and fun-filled style of dance with new members. (Tap shoes are available to borrow for beginners.)
LABLAST
Class Day/Time: Thursdays at 10 a.m.
Instructor: Georgie Wilson
Class Fee: Free with membership
Description: This dance program is based on all the ballroom dances you see on “Dancing with the Stars”. This partner-free program was created by Louis Van Amstel, a three-time world champion ballroom dancer who spent 10 seasons on the popular reality show. Instructor Georgie is a certified LaBlast instructor who has 15 years of fitness instruction experience. Slip-resistant shoes are recommended.
ZUMBA GOLD
Class Day/Time: Mondays and Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.

Description: Modifies traditional Zumba® moves with lower intensity, lower impact, and smoother transitions. Great for beginner exercisers, active older adults, or anyone who prefers not to go “full-out” for whatever reason! Utilizes an engaging blend of Latin and International-style music along with a bit of catchy pop and focuses on elements of cardiovascular, balance, range of motion, and coordination. Camaraderie, fun, and fitness…all rolled into one!
DRUM FITNESS
Instructor: Tina Kowalski
Class Fee: Free with membership
Description: Low-impact cardio combined with toning movements makes this class for everyone and offers a full-body workout while feeling like a rockstar. The class is a fusion of a cardio, toning, and flexibility workout using drumsticks and a stability ball.
BEACHBALL VOLLEYBALL
Class Day/Time: Thursday at 11 a.m.
Class Fee: Free with membership
Description: Done seated or standing, this fun group activity uses a net, beach ball, and liberal use of volleyball rules to compete against your peers.
